Aug 6th -Ruby Murray Awaits

OL´eagle eyes spotted a rather nice looking curry house the other night, and we promised to go there tonight. really nice, I enclose some pictures. I should point out that took the pictures the day after ´cos I forgot the camera.

Seriously, its a curry house.

So we drove down there the next morning and I stood on the wall much to the embarassment of Ashlea, who by the way took the curry away, and ate it cold the next morning. Ack.

I promise, it really is a curry house!

Harem? NO ITS A BLOODY CURRY HOUSE!!!!

Is it true Lord Buddah that you are useless at hoovering, because you have no attachments.......

Quote of the day ”You don´t really want to go clubbing again do you?”

DJ MASTERBLASTER LONGIE LARGE JAZZIE STYLIE’s news Aug 5th

by admin

Return of the Mac?

Went for a drive yesterday afternoon. Over to the hippy market as you know. Saw this sign on the way back, which appealed to Ashlea.

We came, we saw we larged.

But before we did that we had a meal in a restaurant, who had 2 speeds, slow and stop. But Ashlea did take a clever picture of the placemat.

Just turn left at the beer stain.

We got the boat to Eden, the other side of San Antonio.

Me and Ashlea, and a bunch of party people, crossing from a happening part of the Island to a MEGA happening part of the Island.

And it was on the boat, that the quote of the day was created. More on that at the end of this post.

Ashlea looked great. She has the irritating style of being able to carry off many fashion looks easily and effortlessly.

Must have got it from me. Seriously.

So, we are waiting for her friends, 3 guys she met on Facebook since we’ve been here.

Just kidding! I just wanted to see your hands fly up in horror.

No, it is 3 of her friends from home, who happen to be here. Cool eh. And she would rather enter the Club with them, than just with me. I can understand that. No one wants to be outshone by their Dad’s uber coolness. So she needs a little backup.

Captain LARGE and the Largettes (I made that up)

Nice bunch of lads actually. And out for a good time. Well you don’t come to Ibiza to pick flowers do you?

So, the early set in Eden, well it’s not commercial, the kind of thing that elderly people would describe as “Boom boom repetitive rubbish”, but  I kinda liked it even though I am a commercial boy at heart. But then, because of the price of the drinks,  ten euros for a Vodka andRed Bull, yep,. that much, we went out to find a cheaper deal, intending to come back for the Pendulum set at 4.

Ashleas friends found a good place where the DJ was playing an amazing commercial set, and we went back for Pendulum at 4. Wow, hearing Propane Nightmare – clubland loud was amazing. The place went absolutely mad.

Cost 5 euros to go out and come back again. The cheek of it. Cool stamp though.

Recovering today.

Ashlea by the pool.

Oh, the quote of the day.

Good looking boy to Ashlea on boat talking about me ” Is that a friend of yours”

Ashlea “Uhhmm yeah, kindof”

More tomorrow.

Aug 4th LARGE

Mad northern woman did not get me.

Oh, by the way, me and Ash went for a Chinese last night:

I'll have the cream of "Sum Yung Guy"

By the way, you say thank you in Chinese by saying “Che Che” (spelling dodgy)

Be kind of funny if you were saying thankyou for the Tai Chi

Chi Che Che!

So, next morning dawns, and we went to the hippy market. Apparantly in the 60′s a ban of people who believed in free love all lived here, and so they could conrtibute to the economy, offered the chance to sell their stuff. And they do so today too. Sell their stuff that is. The love now costs 20 euros. So someone told me.

Hippy House? I reckon Tinky Winky lives next door.

"I wanna be a hippy..."

Tonight we go to Eden, one of the most happening places on the Island. Me, and all the cheesy quavers.

If I do not blog tomorrow, you will know I didn’t make it.

HAPPENING!!! LARGE!! SICK! MAJOR!

I can do this shit.

August 2nd LARGING 2

by admin

Ah, on my familliar keyboard now….

That’s better.

EDUCATING ASHLEA

Ashee asked me about Spanish, and I enlightened her with my instant translation from English to Spanish, just add “os” to the end of everything.

Tabacos

Beeros

Foodos

What you staring at. Os.

Kinda works.

We moved room. On the first night, we could still hear people larging it, at 5 in the morning. Not that I dislike that sound, I find the sound of a “party in the distance” kinda comforting , like rain against the window, but this was a bit different. All the normal largers had gone home, and just a few weird ones with a strange look in their eye were left. Not good or conducive to my beauty sleep, so we moved to the sister hotel next door, downstairs, with a sea view, and a nice balcony, with REALLY loud crickets, and a beautiful nighttime view, with all the boats lit up. Glorious.

Hired a car yesterday morning.

Got my first parking ticket in the evening.

What’s the similarity between a traffic warden and a stork.

They can both stick their bills up their assos.

Quote of the day “You complete slapper” Don’t ask.

Ashlea decided to see what it was really like to pretend to be a rabbit in headlights.

Ashlea and Jane from The Pink Panther bar (Ashlea does not work there. Yet.)

Ibiza at dusk. Perfect time for a rousing chorus of "Show me the way to go home". They love it.

On air cooking

by admin

Is it really possible to make a chocolate cake live on air, in a microwave, in 5 minutes, in a mug.

We challenged Ali from Liddiards, as local chef extraordinaire to try and do it.

Have a listen to the audio!

The link to the recipe is here by the way.

Viral positivity

by admin

I decided on the radio show this morning to only focus on the positive on the radio show, at www.radiojackie.com. That meant NO negative speaking or focussing on credit crunches or Swine Flu (have they thought of oinkment for that? Sorry!)

So I asked people to call in and tell us what they appreciated about their lives, and who was in them, little or big, it didn’t matter really, not at all.

And I have to say the response was fabulous, we had people ringing in who had had a frightening diagnoses, but with a steely determination to get well (and it was treatable), we had someone who was about to go on a new wonderdrug that gave her hope again.

And mothers appreciating their daughters, and workers appreciating their bosses (it does happen, really!), and someone else appreciating the blossom and hives by the side of the road, which they hadn’t had time to see before because they were so rushed.

The lady who had a final job interview for a job she really wanted, and had plucked up the courage to go back into the workplace after a break and a series of difficult challenges in her life….

And it felt great. And I had not even given any thought to anything negative in the 3 hours I did the show, and that felt amazing.

PLURK

Some of the more fun people we spoke to talked of the line blurring between work and play. Plurk, you see. To get a bit philosophical, I do not believe we are on this planet to suffer a difficult existence and be miserable, I prefer to believe in the power of dreams, and particularly doing what we love for a living. Why not?

This lady seems to have mastered it in abundance.

http://www.pamperedchef.biz/sarahmorris

There you go Sarah, I promised you a plug on my blog, what a great business you are in. This lady came on the phone and said “I LOVE my job”. And you could hear the enthusiasm in her voice, it could not be faked if she tried. She meant it.

She loves to meet people, food and more, and this job allows all of that. Nice for those of us who are harried to be pampered as well I would imagine.

Jeanne (the girl I am seeing) talk a lot about our dreams as well. Hers are to travel, and to be an interior designer, and to sell fashion and items of interest from round the world. What if she coul find clients interested in her designs, which would fund the travel, which would enable her to serve her clients better, which would result in more funds, which would result in more time to travel, which would……. you see the positive loop here.

What simple, fun step could you take towards a dream you have?

Here’s another lady whos enthusiasm was infectious…

http://www.jojingles.com/twickenham/

She works with kids, and she says she loves it, they are always happy, and focussed on having fun in the moment, not worried about the past or future.

I think that’s pretty good advice from our younger generation.Be here now. And enjoy it.

Worry or fun? No brainer isn’t it. And since when did worry or fear make anything better anyway?

One more, Phil one of our regular listeners in Molesey (known as the Molesey ranter!), served 30 years in the police force, then made the jump to being self employed, with a chauffer company. And business is very good. That bears repeating.

Business is very good.

Where did you hear that in mainstream media?

http://www.pwrexec.co.uk

I also want to introduce a cyber friend of mine called Buz McGuire http://www.viralhappiness.com/. This man I have never met, but have spoken to online, and have a “cyber friendship” with him, he is a great guy. I know he is running for local office as well in the States, I have to say I would be delighted if there were more leaders like Buz in town. Good luck with the election Buz, and keep up the viral happiness. Buz “thought” hs way out of depression in a week, without prescription drugs, thus spawned the idea of viral happiness. I find him inspiring, so do have a look at his site if you have a moment.

I think the more ideas of positivity, and success and solution rather than problem focus we have the better, and the better the world will be. I stand by that, and this is the main ethos of this blog. I cannot wait to see where this journey takes me, but I know it’s gonna feel good.

Do you have an inspiring story, or something you’d like to share? Have you overcome something or made a dream come true? Do you have a dream job or business? Please share it here, and feel free to include a website address. I hope you get more business out of it, and more visitors to your site.

I want to do a series of podcasts (like radio but recorded) on stuff like this, success stories and principles, so if you would like to be interviewed by me, just get in touch. Free plug on this blog in it for you.

I look forward to your comments.

Neil
