www.thepodcastersbible.com | Podcasting How To | Jack Humphrey Part 1

by admin

In this episode I interview Jack Humphrey of Blog Success. It is in several short, bitesize parts for you. Enjoy!

Listen or read, and if you like it, please leave a comment below.

Neil:         Thanks so much for agreeing to do this.  What I want to talk to you about Jack was you have a very successful – if busy internet business, and radio show , and a blogging master-what I wanted to really focus on was how you get your audio and market it on the blog and with Web 2.0 (Social media), and how to make a successful business model out of that.

Jack:

Well, I did it kind of backwards in a way, I mean I did the FridayTrafficReport.com was a blog that was mostly text-based original content and what I call foundation contents.  In every market you need to have content on your site that people expect to see.  So if you have a site about dog training there are pieces of content that everybody needs to have on the site.  It shouldn’t be all the same.  It should be original content but it should be, if you are on a dog training site you are going to want to see that they have all the different aspects – puppy training, leash training, paper training – all these different kinds of things which make up the foundation content.  Every dog training site should have that foundation.

That foundation content gets you rankings to start and gets you the respect that you need when people land at your site that you are an authority in that niche at market, and that’s basically what I did for a couple of years on Friday Traffic Report.  I just blogged.

If I was to start over with the idea of having a podcast right from the very beginning I would do the same thing.

I would blog as much as possible.  If you really are honest about your niche and you have chosen a good one, that’s really good version and topic range and all the different things that you can do then you will have a lot of things to write about or have written, outsource it – however you want to do it.  But that’s not just doing keyword research and saying ‘this is what I need’; it’s also doing competitive research with people who are already out there doing this stuff who probably have the popularity that you want at some point and looking at their best pieces, the ones that get the most traffic, using compete.com and your Google Tools and things like that to analyze.

There’s a really good tool actually for analysis.  It’s at SEObook.com, that’s Aaron Wall and he has got a really cool SEO toolbar that can tell you a lot about every individual page that you land on with your competition and go ‘wow, this content really got a lot of lengths’, you can see the comments without having a toolbar, got a lot of comments interaction.

You can also analyze how many times that was ‘retweeted’ and ‘liked’ on Facebook.  Typically that will be writing your phase-2, that’s widget’s report back on that and then those…

Neil:         Can you just explain ‘retweet’ quickly for the benefit of those that wouldn’t understand that, what does ‘retweeting’ mean?

Jack:        Basically it’s when someone grabs a piece of content on the web and tweets about it and usually your blog should be set up with a plug in and there’s many plug ins that do this but when you are working with WordPress you just go into the ‘plug ins’ database and do a search on Twitter and you will find every plug in that does anything with Twitter.  Most of them do something to connect your blog to Twitter and so you are the one who is actually putting your content on Twitter all the time.  Every time you post it goes up on Twitter.

And ‘retweets’ are when somebody goes ‘I like this enough; I am going to retweet it’, that means they pass it on to their followers by retweeting and it goes on and on and on like that.  Their followers can do the same thing and it can get viral sometimes.  So that’s retweeting.

‘Liking’ is Facebook and that’s when people click the ‘like’ button.  Everybody is familiar with the ‘like’ button now and what happens there is same thing.

More in  part 2.

NLP quotes from its creator

by admin

Richard Bandler is the Co- Creator of NLP, with John Grinder.

Here are some of his quotes:
“We take the very best of what people do, synthesise it down, make it learnable and share it with each other – and that is what the real future of what NLP will be and its gonna stay that way!”

“The evolution isn’t over. We are the experience that the universe is having.”

“Do you want to know a good way to fall in love? Just associate with all your pleasant experiences with someone, and disassociate from all the unpleasant ones.”

“Brains aren’t designed to get results; they go in directions. If you know how the brain works you can set your own directions. If you don’t, then someone else will.”

“Disappointment requires adequate planning.”

“The greatest personal limitation is to be found not in the things you want to do and can’t, but in the things you’ve never considered doing.”

“The reason people have problems is that they have too much time to think.”

“The best thing about the past is that it’s over. The best thing about the future is that it’s yet to come. The best thing about the present is that it’s here now.”

“People always tell me with absolute certainty that they don’t trust themselves….!”

“If you say to yourself ‘It’s difficult to get up in the morning’, ‘It’s hard to cease smoking’, then you are already using hypnotic suggestions on yourself…”

“You know what ? Certain people think they will feel good if certain things happen… The trick is : you have to feel good for no reason…”

“Remember, it’s your own body, your own brain. You’re not a victim of the universe, you are the universe.”

“If you can’t enjoy what you have, you can’t enjoy more of it.”

“My mantra for silencing the inner dialogue is: ‘shut the  f*** up, shut the f*** up, shut the f*** up,…’”

“I made the door in my house left-handed, because I’m left handed. When people come in, they push the door the wrong way, and hit themselves on the door. And you know what ? People keep harder and harder to do it ! When something doesn’t work, try the same thing harder!”

“You are born with only two fears: fear of falling and fear of loud noise. All the rest is learned. And it’s a lot of work!”

No matter what, be positive

by admin

I guess I had better finish this blog post, as I have had some feedback on it, not all of it positive!

As someone that has struggled to be positive at times, I have done considerable research into it- into how we use our bodies and minds to create our internal state,. and I am reading the Paul McKenna book “I Can Make you Happy

I am a huge fan of Paul Mckenna, he is one of the leading lights in the personal development world, and one of the studies he cites in his book is the fascinating “Happiness Project” created by a brilliant leading edge thinker, Robert Holden. PROVING scientific ally, that the way we use our minds makes

all the difference. If you have a moment, watch the first part below- the rest is on You Tube.

Life is precious and short. Isimply cannot believe that we are on this planet to be unhappy!

OCD

by admin

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

I read in the Daily Mail today, about this tragic case

I think it is important that the police who arrested this elderly couple understand this condition- don’t get me wrong, I respect the police very much, however, I do not imagine that police training covers understanding psychological disorders.

This is close to my heart as I had OCD in my younger years, and it is f****ng horrible.

And all your loved ones can do is sit there and watch you suffer in your own self created misery.

To an outsider it seems ridiculous, but not if you are the one experiencing it. It is a painful and debilitating condition.

And treatable.

Putting my NLP head on for a moment, if say, the manifestation is a fear of germs, then every time a thought about germs is experienced, the sufferer will experience the same intense anxiety that they did the first time the problem started.

The mind generalises as a learning principle, and for some reason if your Unconscious believes that the same reaction is necessary, then it will give you the same feelings as the first time the problem started.

Then.. create a ritual (in this case, washing hands) to neutralise the anxiety.

And repeat, again and again.

It’s a well intended over generalisation taken to a ridiculous extreme.

It could be a defence mechanism created earlier in life inspired by a feeling of powerlessness, or it could be something that happened that was over generalised. Lets say you were bitten by a dog. Do you still experience feelings of tension around dogs- all dogs- or many

?

Logically (Conscious mind), it makes no sense. But to the Unconscious mind it makes perfect sense.

So, what if you read once that “Germs are dangerous”.. perhaps with strong emotion behind it.. the pattern is set- and sometimes we (Conscious mind)  do not know where it comes from.

My thoughts here would be to either remive the original stimulus that caused the fear, or make the person not scared of the issue any more.

Look at this:

Does it scare you?

No? Probably not.

Yet you probably see them every day, and you know there are thousands in the world.

Yet their presence does not bother you.

There are zillions of germs in the world too. And yet, does their presence bother you? Probably not that much- ok there is a healthy caution in the sense of reasonable hygiene, but you do not freak out at just the thought of it.

If someone came to me with a germ issue, healthy caution not withstanding, I would use NLP techniques to make it as innocuos in their mind as an orange is in yours.

You might say, yeah well, Oranges don’t harm you. And I say, yeah, and neither do most of the zillions of germs that surround you every day!

So they are there, but so what? That’s the effect I would create here.

Or, I would use “Time Change Techniques”, which is a little different.

Or CBT

Or.. anyway, OCD is treatable, and the idea of this poor girls parents being arrested to me is absurd.

They deserve compassion and help, not to be arrested for goodness sake!

What I will say to anyone who is upset by this story, it is very very VERY rare. An extreme case. The VAST VAST majority of OCD is treatable.

I am living proof.

Changez Charity Ball

by admin

A while ago, Kate Hudson-Hall and Alan Piper came to Radio Jackie to leave some leaflets for Changez Charity.

Changez charity is a local charity for mental health and Well Being based in Twickenham. I read the leaflets, and rang Kate- and explained that I had recently qualified in NLP and would she like a guest therapist once a week. She said yes, and a new association was formed.

Did you know, that if you have an acute psychological issue, it takes 6 MONTHS to get seen, that’s enough to make you crazy, if you’ll pardon the choice of words. I do not mean to be out of taste, and of course you are not crazy, but sometimes you just need non judgemental help, and you need it quickly. And Changez provides that solution.

So, they had their charity ball last night in Twickenham, and I got to DJ it for them, and run the auction.

I also had the pleasure of meeting the MP for Twickenham, Vince Cable, and the Deputy Mayor Rita Palmer, who was lovely, and so enthused about her position in office, so keen to meet people and learn more about the area.

Vince Cable spoke very positively about Changez, and was very supportive.

We danced, and raised around £1500, which was great.

Feel no obligation of course, but if you would like to donate even a small amount of money, hop over to http://www.changezcharity.com/donations.html  and give what you can.

What a great bunch of people I met, I love this job!

And yes, I did ask Vince Cable about “Strictly”

PS I recorded an interview with Vince Cable

Abundance- Recieve it

by admin

I am a fan of the writer Alan Cohen,  he writes a lot about belief systems, and the power of mind.

Also I woke up this morning thinking about recieving.

So that is the subject of these blog posts.

Oh and one more thing- these random thoughts come in to

my mind, and I have to blog about them.

Alan Cohen makes the case for abundance, and he wrote a book about it. And when you think about it, his concepts in the book are rock solid.

He gives exercises to do in the book, which is a great idea to help us realise (make real), the concepts therein.

I quote:

1. Go to your window, and look out. Look at what you can see in abundance. Look for evidence of it. The more you look for it, the more you will see.

 (Google” reticular activation system”).

Ok a quick explanation here of the geek speak. Have you ever bought anew, say, red car, then seem them everywhere?

Reticular activation system at work if you are psychogically minded or the law of the attraction if you are of that mindset.

So, given that, is it not a good idea to look for what you want to see?

What so you see in abundance around you? For me at my window, trees, grass, houses, birds, flowers..air, water, moisture, you name it it is there. Leaves and fruit fall off trees in abundance every year, and are recycled back, now THAT is not a bad system.

All given nothing wasted. Think about it.

Alan suggests we complete a sentence 3 times with a different answer:

“If I knew that I lived in an unlimited Universe that supplied all my needs no matter what.. i would…”

I think my first order of business would be “CHILL OUT” .

And surely ease is more fun than dis-ease any day.

Speaking of dis-ease, I am going on a course next month called NLP and Healing. This fascinates me, and if you want to know more, can I suggest you look at my mentor and teachers site: www.newlifepurposetraining.com

He does many intro courses, and NLP is , well, brilliant.

So are you for that matter if you only know it.. seriously.

Anyway, I have been fascinated by the subject of healing for a while, and how does it work?

If we cut our hand, we can reasonably expect it to heal- of course.

I think expectation is the keyword here.

People who decide they are going to be well, or anything really, usually do.

There are thousands of cases of this, and medical science does not understand it fully. They call it spontaneous remission.

If you don’t believe me, google Martin Brofman.

Equally, I am not dissing medical science in any way, the advances it has made are phenomenal, and I don’t see it stopping, which is cool. All I am saying is that there is more to the picture.

Now, these are only my theories, so I must put that disclaimer on it. But the latest advances in psychology and other sciences seem to bear it out. The mind is powerful. And being that we have a wonderful tool, why not , why on earth harness it to our advantage?

So, I am reading this book now called “The Healing Codes”- now for years I have thought, that the issue with modern medicine (and again I say that much of it is excellent), but it treats symptoms, not causes.

If the original cause was treated, then there would be nothing to treat, surely.

This book “the Healing Codes” claims to treat the causes, and they say they have had great success with it.

I am fascinated, and will explore more, and report back, but like you I have a healthy scepticism.

All the theory, no matter how logical it sounds, ain’t worth ’nuffin surely.

Recieving

The teachers of Law of attraction make things sound ridiculously simple. Ask, “Desire” , and “recieve” – allow. But seriously, (me included), how many of us do that? Sure we desire, of course we do, and let me make it clear here, I do not think there is anything wrong with desire, in fact in the environment we live in , it is impossible NOT to.

But recieving… that would imply a receptive process “Allowing” in the Abraham-Hicks teachings. LETTING it happen, not MAKING it happen.  How many people do you know that can have a desire for something, and gently relax into the trust that what they want is there?

Can you name one?

It’s like asking, but not opening to recieve, its like asking , and focussing on why it is not here yet, rather than positive expectation. If like attracts like, then that would attract “more of that” “more of NOT HAVING”, rather than allowing the HAVING. HMMM

Yes, it does my head in too, and the weird thing is, sometimes I believe it and sometimes I think it’s BS.

So enough for today.

But be open to recieve.

I know we are all taught it is better to give than recieve, but for me it is all about balance. I mean, if we were all giving all the time, there would be NO ONE TO RECIEVE! And that would rather defeat the point wouldn’t it?

That said, if all we do is recieve and never give, that would not work either surely.

Giving is good as it affirms abundance- If you can give it you must HAVE it to give. It’s a nice mindset.

And letting the other person give to you, affirms THEIR abundance as well, thereby improving their mindset. Thereby creating more….

So by not recieving, you are not doing anyone a favour really.  (healthy boundaries considered of course)

Recieve greatly! And give too! Pass the abundance please.

Facebook marketing seminar

by admin

*******************************************************************

Before I get started with the newsletter, you

GOTTA see this:

Do you market online?

www.theaffiliatetribe.com

Want to get hi power JV partners. This is brilliant.

I am not on commission – go here and look at this!

************************************************************************

Mark Anastasi (a big cheese in the IM world), I have just been to his seminar.

And I will be there tomorrow, and Sunday, it is all about marketing on Facebook.

Social Media Marketing. I love it.

And it seems to be the way forward.

(And I want to be on Stage!)

Anyhoo.. here is the stuff  I learned, transcripted for you.

Do leave a comment below:

Mark Anastasi- a great public speaker was on first, and before we talked about anything internet marketing related at all, we looked at a key component. MINDSET. In his opinion, this is key- without this, nothing else would really matter, and nothing else would be successful.

He is a fan of personal development of course, and has read most of the books that I guess most of us have. Rich Dad, Poor Dad springs to mind. The central tenet of Rich Dad, Poor Dad is:

An asset is something that puts money in your pocket

A liability is something that takes money out of it.

Many of us think, that our house for example, is an asset, but if you are still paying for it, it is a liability!

That’s not to say it is wrong, it is a wonderful thing of course to have a house, but the point is, it takes money from you rather than bringing money to you.

Roberts definition of financial freedom is where the money IN from assets, intersects with the money OUT on liabilities.

In other words, build a portfolio of assets, and make it worth more than your liabilities.

That makes good financial sense to me.

Now, of course, we could cut back, or change our desires, or… many other strategies. But if it were possible to create a bunch of great money producing assets, reduce our liabilities, and still have time to live our values and play and have fun, well, that’s a pretty good life in my book.

And it’s my goal, I am on the way to learning it.

Of course several statements in the last sentence run against the grain of what we have been taught:

“Like fun, money and work in the same sentence. Yeah right.”

“Or, this is a full time job in and of itself, how on earth can I acquire these skills overnight, and then use them…”

“I would be so busy earning my money that I would have no time to enjoy it.”

And they are fair points of course.

And rather common right now I am guessing.

Sure there is a learning curve, and one very important word. LEVERAGE!

But more on that later.

He said “If you do not understand money, you will spend your life working for it”, and I get that.

Is it possible that we do not know something, the knowing of which would change everything?

Possibly.

He said that we must break free from the rat race. WOULDN’T THAT BE NICE,

To have enough money to be able to buy what I want when I want it, not worry if I can afford it.

That would be my financial goal. And I intend to achieve it. Anyone coming with me?

I am not saying money is everything, of course not. Our values and joys in life are terribly important if we are to feel consistently good.

But wouldn’t it be nice to have no financial burdens so we could live those values and enjoy those joys

?

I also recommend Paul McKenna’s Book “I can make you rich“, as a fan of NLP, it is a blend of “inner” and “outer” technology, and I reckon a good program to work through. Good mindset stuff and rock solid business strategies, but al the same time being true to our values.

Read on.

Albert Einstein said “We cannot solve the problem with the same level of thinking that created it”

And I believe he was right. And there are two presuppositions in this sentence.

1. It is possible to think differently.

2. It is possible to solve the problem.

I love Michael Neill’s take on the subject, he talks of Dis-Solving the problem. Gotta love him!

Here is a link to his brilliant solutions cafe.  I cannot recommend his work enough.

Do you study Abraham-Hicks. I found a nice video here talking about the leverage of The Vortex.

That’s not quite the leverage I meant, but its a good aside.

THE FIRST MILLIONAIRE MINDSET SECRET

Mark said that most people believe that getting a job is about writing a CV, lying and praying!

And that’s because most of our mindsets are based on lack. Some of us thought that our employers was the only source of my well being -in this case, money, and wanted them to give me as much as I could get out of them, without necessarily giving value.

This is not “bad” of course, it’s just not that creative. And it leads to all sorts of vicious competition, that we see every day in the business world.

It is a system that plays into a “Victim” mindset.

Is there an alternative. Yes. An abundance mindset. Abundance believes that there is always enough to go round. When you stop to think about it for a minute, in a Universe that as far as we know goes on forever, is it likely to be lacking anything at all?

Abundance asks how we can provide value to others lives. How we can serve them. Servie is not the same as subservience, or taking all kinds of abuse from the “customer who is always right”. The word Selling comes  from the Swedish word “To Serve”. Service is based on goodness for both parties. Hard selling is not necessary. If you had a subject that you were totally interested in, and couldn’t stop talking about, what if there was a bunch of people with similar interests that you could communicate with. In the age of the internet it has never been easier.

To reach out to the whole world, and fulfill peoples desires.

If you can find a niche you like, that others are interested in, you can make money chatting about what you like, recommending products (others or your own) to people, from anywhere in the world.

Never before in the history of the human race has an opportunity like this existed. We would be bonkers to ignore it!

20% of everyone in the world has an internet connection. Seriously!

Of course there is a learning curve, and tools you need for research and speed. But I say it is worth educating yourself.

If you think education is expensive, try ignorance.

That was another quote that came out over the weekend, and it made me think.

And with my NLP knowledge, I know that what one can do, anyone can do (within reasonable limits)

The importance of networking was discussed, as was the importance of immersing yourself in that environment, for maximum learning, which makes sense to me.

So that’s the first secret!

My recommendation to you, which I recommend if you are a newbie or even intermediate person to internet marketing, is Chris Farrells membership site. Chris is a fellow radio man, who has made a very successful transition to Internet Marketing, and his membership site teaches you everything you need to know in incredible detail.

No more searching around for answers to silly things you get stuck on, it’s all here, you can get started cheaply, and can unsubscribe anytime.

Highly recommended.

Thinking about it, there is still just as much money in the world since we had the recession, it has not been trucked off to another planet. Seriously. It’s just not flowing, moving, which is what a currency “current”, needs to do. It may interest you also that the latin for affluence is “affluere”, meaning “To Flow”, meaning a continuos stream of in and out in and out. Not “Grab as much as you can and keep it because there is no more”

See the difference in mindset?

One caveat here, some people use spending to fill a psychological hole, I think the quote was, “Spend money you don’t have, buying things you don’t need, to impress people you don’t even know!” Clearly that is not what I mean here. It comes down I think to a lack of approval of ourselves, so we use outer things to get it from others, which is unsustainable totally.

The good news is we are already worthy, we just need to accept that, we don’t need the validation of anyone else! Seriously!

As an interesting aside, I am sitting here typing this stuff about abundance, listening to the conversation around me that is totally lack based. Discussing how much it is to go one stop on a bus, which by the way is £2.20.

SHOCKING!I hang in the classiest places. Tomorrow the world!

THE SECOND MILLIONAIRE MINDSET SECRET

Get a mentor.

Below is another quote that made me sit up and think. Which happens irritatingly often at personal development seminars.

Without a mentor, your best thinking is where you are now.

Trial and error can be frustrating, and expensive. Why not model someone who already has done what you want to do, and avoid all of the pain? Unless you are into that kind of stuff, in which case there are certain esteblishments you can go to. And no, I do not have an affiliate link for them! Yet.

So if someone is doing really well at something, find out how. Learn from them. MODEL IT as us NLP’ers say!

Most people if you approach them nicely are eager to help, in fact if they are an entrepreneur, they probably do it for a living. Which leads nicely onto the next millionaire mindset secret….

THE THIRD MILLIONAIRE MINDSET SECRET

Money is created by the value you give to others. The more value, the more money.

Here are some ideas you need to drop about money:

  • Rich people are dishonest
  • Money is made by taking from others
  • Money is the root of all evil

Because if you hate money, why would you draw it to you. Would you be drawn to someone who hates you?

The WRONG QUESTION IS:

How do I make more money?

THE RIGHT QUESTION IS:

How can I create money today?

OR

What problems do people have?

What do they want?

How can I add value?

Marketing is the process of communicating the benefits of what you have to your target market.

An opportinuty seeker says “How can I get more”

An entrepreneur says “How can I create value”

One attracts money, one repels it.

It is said that a good yardstick as to what mindset someone is in,  is to see if they sign up to product after product promising the world, and not delivering- ie scams. If they do, they are an opportunist.

Oops.

It is said “Teach what you need to learn”

THE FOURTH MILLIONAIRE MINDSET SECRET

LEVERAGE.

Get leverage.

The question was posed, “What leverage does David Beckham have”

Someone heckled “Posh Spice” Too funny.

But the answer is media of course.

You or I might kick a ball in a field, or even at our local football club.

David Beckham does it and the whole world sees.

THATS leverage friends.

By the way there is no truth to the rumour POSH SPICE stands for Pop Star Owns South Hertfordshire Should Probably Invest In Course of Elocution :)

THE FIFTH MILLIONAIRE MINDSET SECRET

Sell products, yours or someone elses.

Do not trade your time for money.

Create multiple income streams, and keep adding them.

Remember, an ASSET is something that puts money in your pocket, not what takes money out!

Once I read a book by a millionaire who said “If it floats, flies or fornicates, rent it, it’s cheaper!

Love it. Perhaps everymans dream is something that does all 3!

EXERCISE FOR WEALTH

“100 REASONS”

Get a pen and brainstorm.

This brings up all the limiting beliefs that you are holding that stop you from creating more money.

This is one of those “inner game” exercises.

Consider that the “invisible CREATES the visible”, In other words, our lives are a creation of what we BELIEVE.

Conditions…>>> Thoughts>>>Judgement>>Actions>>Results

The mindset has to change, otherwise “Wherever you go, there you are!”

Most people blame others, but this stops people being responsible for themselves. And it is disempowering.

Would you rather be a creator in charge of your life or a victim of it?

Listen to the language people use, how empowering is it? How does it reflect their view of the world.

Listen to the metaphors they use. Someone I know used a lot of “gambling” metaphors, like “I rolled the dice when I made that business decision”

Perhaps he sees life as a gamble. How do you see life? As a game, as fun, as full of delicious opportunities, or as a drudge, a cruel struggle?

And no, I have not mastered this yet, I am still a student.

In Paul McKennas latest brilliant book I Can Make You Happy, he talks about using extremes of language, like “always” “never”,- this kind of language cuts out positive possibilities.

More NLP good stuff here, on my site, and a free gift for you there.

Anyway, now onto…

  • Others products or services
  • Continuity Programs
  • Lead Generation
  • Setting up Facebook pages for others
  • Promoting webinars and seminars

So, if every friend is worth $1 a day… if you create 10 fan pages a day for 30 days, $3000 a month.

Nice.

We were advisedto:

  1. Do 4 updates a day
  2. Make those updates tips, tricks, industry stuff, you tube videos, just add value!

The more value you add, the more people know, like and trust you…

Then recommend related products.

And get rich!

If this all sounds like far too much work, you can outsource.

Fiverr.com is not the only site of its kind, there is also:

www.Tenbux.com

www.Zeerk.com

www.gigbucks.com

www.sevenstew.com

www.mturk.com

www.deralerr.com

www.jobsfor10.com

www.gigsworld.com

Remember, ADD VALUE

And I hope this has been of value to you.

If so, click LIKE!

Thankyou!

More techniques:

By the way do go see Zed Shah’s site

I often wonder what to call the umm, apprenticeship to internet marketing.

The story often goes something like, “Believe you can make zillions overnight, buy every product online promising to teach you how, not make zillions, get confused, almost give up…..”

Sound familiar!

Zed had a learning curve he told us about, but once he got it, he started making a full time income in 3 weeks. Seriously.

Here is some of the information he shared, I do recommend you check out his site.

(in fact his speech was so popular, he got a 15 minute encore!)

He said, that we CAN partner with the big guys, if you know how to approach them, (see Max Simon above as well for more good strategies on this)

On a Facebook group that you set up:

  • Use a personal picture (not a product)
  • Don’t blast out affiliate links straight away
  • Do use other peoples content (success by association)

(As an aside, with my NLP knowledge, I know the Unconscious mind works by association, so good call here)

He made a very good point- have you ever done this, “friended” everybody in a target market, well.. don’t!

Go for quality not quantity. VET the people who come. Are they putting out good content

? Friend the good ones.

Focus on groups that:

  • Have high traffic
  • Have good content
  • Low spam
  • Are genuine!

Another tip is to befriend the admins of the group.

When you have a product to offer, you will have a lot more leverage this way.

On the fan page, have a MASSIVE call to action!

And add an opt in form. ASK people to take action, do not just expect them to.

The Connector Method

Find the top 100 movers and shakers in the industry, find their blog, and subscribe to their RSS feed. Look at their recent blog posts, follow them on Twitter, do they have a You Tube Channel?

Comment on a post in a personal way, keep it chilled, builds a good relationship.

See if you can get them on to Skype, and use Skype as your inner circle, not for public use.

Better to have 5 people who are of mutual value, than 5000 who are not.

Quality, not quantity.

If and when you do a product launch, for them, then make bonuses exclusive to them.

You can use PLR (Private Label Rights) for this.

If I may make a recomendation, have a look here for PLR, my friend Martin Avis has a great site.

Treat your wall like private property. No spam!

Zed talked about a lot more than this, and I do recommend you visit his site.

A quick tip from the field of NLP, people have different ways of doing business, and it can be useful to look for their style and mimic it, creates rapport- certainly do not force your way on them!

Next on stage was Laura Wilson..

She talked a lot about the importance of consistent branding, and she has certainly done that, have a look at her site!

Strategies

by admin

I seem to remember that on a holiday one time, I read in a Jack Canfield book about “Success leaving traces”, in other words, no matter what it is you want to do, someone somewhere has done it.

Using the NLP tenet “If one human can do it, anyone can do it”, or in NLP speak “Modelling”, so, would you like to know what has been modelled? What other people have done and are doing? What is potentially available for you?
